The Acorn Poetry Anthology:
Volume I
Over the past two years, writers at Acorn Writing Retreats have created such thought-provoking and wonderful poems exploring a range of topics including imagination, resilience, nature, identity and the courage it takes to write. To help share these powerful words with the world, we are delighted to announce this new project:
The Acorn Poetry Anthology: Volume I
A published collection of poems written by
Acorn Writers near and far
exploring writing, creativity, courage, growth and nature.
All proceeds will go towards the Acorn Access Fund, supporting low-income and marginalised writers to attend future retreats.
If you have attended one of our retreats, or follow Acorn from afar, we would love to welcome your words into this project!
Submissions are open until Sunday 22nd March 2026.
Early submissions are warmly welcome.
Anthology Themes
The anthology welcomes poems that explore one or more of the following themes:
The Writing Journey
The Creative Process
Courage & Resilience
Personal Growth
Nature, Seasons & Landscapes
The Acorn-to-Oak-Tree Metaphor
These themes can be interpreted broadly or personally. Writers are encouraged to follow whatever feels most authentic and inspirational.
